Adopted Amendment to the 2007 Regional Transportation Plan | Print |

Introduction

Image Mountainland Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) adopted the Regional Transportation Plan for Utah County in June 2007. The plan represents a strategic investment plan to improve system performance for the Utah County region of the Wasatch Front urban area for travelers over a 24 year period. The plan includes a set of highway, transit, local roadway, bicycle, and pedestrian projects identified through regional and local transportation planning processes. Key investments focused on adequate maintenance, system efficiency and operations, and strategic expansion. The plan is made up of two separate elements. The “financially constrained” element includes those transportation projects that would be funded through revenues projected to be reasonably available over the 24-year horizon of the plan. The more comprehensive “vision” element identifies underfunded and illustrative transportation projects that would be funded through revenue measures that may become available in the future through either legislative action or voter mandate.

Amendment to the Regional Transportation Plan

Mountainland MPO plan amendment was adopted by the Regional Planning Committee on October 23, 2008 to align it with the phased environmental work proposed for the Mountain View Corridor Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
