The Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) is a short and long range analysis of the current transportation system with a listing of projects needed in the future. The current Plan was approved in March 2005. Included are highway, transit, pedestrian, bike, and airport conditions and needs. Impacts of proposed projects and a funding plan are also included. Since Utah County is an air quality non-attainment area, the RTP must follow federal regulations which require that you do not make the air worse and that you can prove funding for the plan. The FHWA (Federal Highway Administration) Conformity Finding Letter is the federal response to the plan agreeing that it follows these regulations. |
